When you’re gone

There’s no leaving me

The problem is when we fell in love,

You didn’t make my heart race.

You walked right passed it and made yourself comfortable in the cracks of my soul.

Filling parts i didnt know werent whole

And when you left, it was just physical distance.

You left yourself in those cracks

So when they ask if I’ve loved another?

How do I let someone rest in the spaces if i am whole because of you

How does one mend cracks already closed, and built memories on the foundation of yours

I must beg of you to break my soul and leave it in the ruin you once knew

Lay cracks for another to rest in, to sit and hold what’s left
